Pre-Installation of Genshin Impact 2.0 Update

In anticipation of the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.0 update, players can now pre-install the patch on their devices. This feature allows users to download the update ahead of its official release, ensuring a smoother transition and minimizing downtime.

There are two methods to pre-install the update: one from the Paimon menu and another from the login screen. To do it from the Paimon menu, simply navigate to the menu, click on the update option, and let the data download automatically. Once complete, you will see a button to pre-install patch 3.6 on the left side of the Launch button.

Alternatively, open the Genshin Impact launcher and look for the option to update it. Clicking on this will initiate the downloading process.

The Genshin Impact 2.0 update is expected to bring new playable characters, including Ayato and Venti, as leaked by rumors. Players may also get a chance to pull Ayaka and Kazuha in future banners. Additionally, the patch will be available for pre-installation on all platforms a few days before its official release.

In preparation for the update, HoYoverse will take down in-game servers for maintenance for a few hours to push out the patch. As compensation, players will receive free Primogems.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the special program announcing Genshin Impact's new version, which will premiere on the official Twitch channel at 08:00 AM (UTC-4) on March 16, 2022.
